I have a LOT of hats. Too many my wife says sometimes. I have hats for every occasion. Some of those occasions cause them to get a little dirty or sometimes sitting around for too long they collect dust. These brushes make short work of those issues, They are very well constructed and contain a lot of bristles for getting the job doneThe softer bristle brush I use for my hats. We have two border collies who produce a lot of hair and the boars hair brush does a very good job of getting the hair out of fabric with just a swipe or two. Both of these brushes do their job and you can't beat the price.

IMy hobby of finding second hand leather goods is really fun and after I bring them home, I have a whole intake process to clean them, inside and out before I can use them. I got these brushes so I could use them for cleaning larger sections. I use the horsehair brush on the exterior with some leather cleaning solution since it has softer bristles. The boar hair brush I use to dry brush out the interior before I clean it with a foaming castille soap I prepared. Because of it's coarser bristles, it is great for helping to loosen up dirt and debris stuck on the inside, which is usually an unfinished leather. The straps are nice and help me keep things tidy when I hang them up after I'm done using them.

This 2-piece hat and clothes brush set is nicely made and serves its intended purposes well. The brushes use natural materials, horsehair for one and boar bristles for the other. Both brushes feel sturdy with their curved wooden handles. The natural bristles are densely packed and do a solid job of lifting dust and lint without being too abrasive, especially on more delicate materials like felt or wool. The horsehair brush is soft enough to be used on felt hats and more sensitive fabrics without concern for scratching or roughing up the fibers. The boar bristle brush, which is stiffer, works well for heavier jobs like brushing off pet hair or lint from wool coats or upholstery. Both brushes include leather hanging loops, which is a simple but nice touch for storage. One thing to keep in mind is that like most natural-bristle brushes, they do shed a little during the first few uses. That seems to taper off with time.Overall these brushes are a useful and well-made set for anyone who wears hats regularly or wants a reliable brush for maintaining fabrics and garments. They strike a good balance between gentle care and effective cleaning.

Received at no cost in order to review. I chose these because I wanted a long handle boar brush for my beard. Unsure how well they work for hats and coats.Pros: shape makes them easy to use holding in either direction. While not as stiff as I'd like, they are comfortable enough to use on my face and neck without leaving me all red and scratched up.Cons: fairly soft. As others have said, with eyes closed I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the horse and boar hair brush. The hairs have been slowly falling out of both brushes since I got them. I'm hoping that will stop (and the reason for the loss of a star).2025-04-21 update: I've noticed I grab the brown bristle brush (and my Wahl comb that I used before) more often rather than my actual boar hair beard brush and have been getting great results. I still use beard oil and balm however WAY less often. The bristles seem to have stopped falling out. Do to this update I'm rising my rating from 4 to 5 stars.

KT Deals 2 pc Clothes Brushes, Horsehair & Boar Bristles (ASIN : B0DXFVNCR3) I got these primarily to try on my porch cushion and pillows. We live on an unpaved road, and the dust from passing traffic settles on our porch. I'm hoping the brushes will help tidy up the outdoor linens, so I don't have to keep bringing them in when not using them. The horsehair brush seems to suffer from more hairfall than the boar bristle. Hopefully that will settle down once the really loose hairs come out. The boar bristle brush is pretty soft - softer than my boar hairbrushes. The wooden handles are sturdy. They are both gentle on fabrics, with a good size great for a quick dusting. Both are good options for me to use on my woven porch linens. I think I'll use the boar bristle out there, and save the horsehair for brushing my hats and clothing.
