I've tried to peel an orange several times, and this tool just isn't helping at all. In fact, it's making the process more frustrating that just using a knife.The tool itself is sturdy and feels substantial and well-made, although the peeler I received is slightly different than the one in the product photos. My peeler does not have a triangle in the rounded blade portion of the peeler.There's a knife on one side, that is meant for you to cut into the peel and then bring downward, but the knife isn't sharp enough, and it doesn't protrude out from the rounded blade portion enough, so when you bring the knife down the fruit, it's an awkward movement that frequently pushes the blade away from the fruit. You have to hold it JUST right, and even then, it's just not sharp enough.The rounded part that you insert under the peel...this didn't work well for me either. I either stuck it in too far, thereby going into the flesh of the fruit, or I didn't push it far enough, so the result was tons of the white rind left on the orange.Maybe my technique could be improved, or maybe you have other uses in mind for this tool, but for me, this is not something I can recommend.

we make OJ every other day and this tool makes it quicker and less messy. a definite yes!
