I needed extra electrostatic sticker to move my dashcam and these came handy. It easily peels off and attaches to the windshield and the extra tapes are good to reattach the dashcam.

Warning: attaching 3M adhesive directly to your car windshield is a bad idea. I speak from personal experience. But you probably don't even need this warning because you're here looking at electrostatic film for dash cam mounts for a reason.Clearly, other people noticed the same problem I noticed many years ago. 3M adhesive used for dash cams doesn't come off of windshields easily, so the best thing to do is apply an electrostatic film to the windshield and then attach the dash cam mount with adhesive to the electrostatic film. That way, if you ever need to remove the dash cam mount from the windshield, it's super quick and easy without leaving unsightly adhesive residue on the windshield.This adhesive kit includes four pieces of electrostatic film and four pieces of 3M VHB acrylic-core double-sided foam tape. VHB is an acronym for "Very High Bond." 3M says this type of tape works exceptionally well due to "viscoelasticity." The viscous properties of the acrylic foam allow the the adhesive to flow into microscopic irregularities in surfaces - in this case, a windshield or the electrostatic film on the windshield, and the plastic dash cam mount. The elastic properties of the acrylic foam act as a shock absorber, allowing the foam tape to absorb dynamic loads over a wide temperature range up to 90-degrees Celsius, or 194-degrees Fahrenheit. Dash cam mounts are an ideal application for this type of tape.The foam tape will likely have to be cut to fit your dash cam mount. It's slightly larger than the foam tape that came installed on my Vycol dash cam, and it's slightly smaller than the foam tape that came installed on my older Rexing dash cam. If I were to use this tape on the OLDER Rexing dash cam, I'd probably use two pieces of tape (which would be too big) and cut them down to fit the mounting area perfectly.The electrostatic film includes the basic instructions needed to properly use the film:0. Pull the protective sheet off the film using the pull tab1. Put the electrostatic sticker on the windshield2. Stick the dash cam to the electrostatic filmDoesn't get much easier than this.Many dash cams now include electrostatic film and they all include at least one piece of tape, but if yours didn't or if you need more because you're moving your dash cam or replacing your windshield or whatever, then this kit is ideal.
