Best deal I could find for OEM, but be aware you need a drive belt if you are upgrading from the 105A alternator

I installed it more than a year ago and it's still working great.

This alternator is very high quality, and is a great upgrade for any GM truck equipped with a 4.3L V6 and 105A OEM alternator. With the 145A rating, and great output at idle compared to the OEM CS130D design, it's a no brainer. Just keep in mind, when installing this unit in a 4.3L application, it will require a 1" longer belt. Here is my personal experience with this Alternator, and the vehicle I used it in:I bought a 2001 Chevy Blazer Xtreme with a 4.3 V6 a few months ago, and the wife has been driving it to work. Wednesday night, she calls and says that it's dead. Long story short, I had it towed to the house (this all happened around midnight), alternator is dead and battery is at about 9v. Charged the battery and started looking for alternators. The local parts stores were overpriced for no name Chinese crap that was all reman. I was going to replace it with the original 105A unit, but figured if I'm going to spend the time and money, I might as well get an upgrade from the OE part. After a little research, I found this one on Amazon, as well as the belt I needed, and it was delivered the same day with Amazon's awesome free Prime same day shipping. From the time of the failure, to the time of repair, it was about 18 hours. Can't beat it!This alternator ended up being the perfect replacement. Did a little Google research, and found that the AD244 design is a great upgrade from the CS130D design with much more power (this one is 145A), and it drops right in. This alternator is actually very underrated, and is capable of putting out 200A AT IDLE when cold!! Even buying an overpriced modded CS130D high output unit many times will only put out 45A at idle, and needs to be revved to 1000rpm to reach anywhere near the rated output. Installing this alternator into a GM 4.3L V6 requires a 96" belt rather than the original size 95" due to the slightly larger size of this alternator compared to the stock one, and I was able to find one of those here with one day free prime delivery as well.Replacement took about 15 minutes, only had to remove the 4 pin connector, the single terminal charging cable from the rear stud on the alternator, the rear bolt holding the heater hose bracket, and the two alternator mounting bolts. Pried out the old one, lightly tapped the spacer sleeves out a bit, and the new one dropped right in. You can tell that this unit is slightly larger than the old one, but it fits perfectly, and there are zero fitment issues other than using a different belt. Re-installed the connector and cable, installed the new belt, and it was good to go.This unit charges at 14.5v both at idle and off idle, which is much better than the 13.8v that the old alternator charged at. With the A/C, wipers, blower, head and fog lamps on, the voltage did not drop at all, maintaining the 14.5v at idle.I very highly recommend this unit as an upgrade, or replacement for a failed alternator in a vehicle already equipped with the same part. Using a brand new ACDelco part, especially with free same day Prime shipping, is much better than overpaying for a Chinese reman in my opinion.
