Holds drums and accessories in place, very grippy on bottom. Problem is: the dye's used are inferior and it looks like a very faded version of the pictured one. It's gray with light orange stripes. Looks like it went through the wash with a 1/2 gallon of bleach. So, made well-enough and serves its purpose, but just looks cheap.

If you've ever had your kit move on you at a gig, you know the importance of a good rug. This thing is the perfect size @ 6'×5'. I sit far back from the kit and it is plenty deep (@5ft) to still have my throne firmly planted on the surface with either my shallower, small 20 inch gigging set or larger, deeper 22. I'm ok with cymbal stand tripods (less the hi hat) not having to be on the carpet because I can (and do anyway) fine tune cymbal angles with my gearless tillers. This thing is rubber backed and the perfect thickness where you are not going to sink into it, nor pop through it with your spikes. It's also very lightweight and at $49, I cannot convinced there is a superior drum rug on the market. I am a former professional touring drummer and still play quite a bit locally so I do have ample experience with these things. I rarely write reviews but wanted to put the word out to my brethren who may be on the fence or who may want to spend more. Unless you want a different design, there is no need. I chose the basic border model which is also nice as it acts as a template of where to place my kick spikes. Big fan of this carpet...hope this review helps.

Works well. Perfectly sized for the electronic drum kit we have and keeps things from moving around. I do wish there was extra padding around the drum kick to allow for the kick to be pinned into position. Currently, you need to use velcro which is really only as strong as the adhesive used to attach it to your kick.The rug is low pile so has been easy to vacuum in the few months we've had it.

It worked perfect for what we needed. Going back i would have gotten a litlle bit larger but thats on me. The mat holds the kit in place and looks good
