When I tested these, I picked a cookie recipe that I had not made before - and will probably not be making again(!) as the dough was very crumbly and I had difficulty rolling it out. The cutters worked very well on my difficult dough; the square is my preferred cutter for two reasons. The amount of waste is minimal and there are no crevices in which the dough could get stuck. The round one works well, but sometimes care needs be taken as the cut-outs roll up with the cutter if you run it across the dough too fast. The round one also has crevices that I cleaned out before placing in the dishwasher as I was concerned that it would not clean properly.They are well-made and quite sturdy; it was so easy and quick to make the cookies, generating only a small amount of scraps - just position the vertical section at your starting point to ensure that the first cut-out is complete (see photos); this way only the last one may have to be discarded.
