Super pretty and easy to use. We got this to hang in our kitchen doorway and drape a garland around it for Christmas time. It looked so elegant and charming. We took it down and will use it again next Christmas, so I can’t totally speak to durability, but I can say that it is very nicely made and is quite pretty.

I ordered this Shower Curtain Rod 36-98 Inch Non Rust Adjustable Gold Shower Curtain Rod Spring Tension Non Slip Shower Rods for Bathroom Window. The good: The brushed gold finish looks really nice. Different and pretty finials stand out on this tension rod. The rod adjusts in size and once fitted to your desired length, creates a tight fit wall-to-wall.The bad: We struggled for a REALLY long time to make this thing work. It turned out that the visible white part at the end of the adjustable rod wasn't visible on ours. I put the rod down for over a month, given up. I did try again though, and we eventually were able to pull the white part out of the rod it was seated in. This was way too complicated a process. Additionally, our rod is being used in a place just under seven feet wide and it sags slightly in the middle.I think this rod had great promise (particularly if its unique finials are appealing to you) but the one we received was just too difficult to make work for me to want to buy again. Hopefully ours was just a fluke.

Overall, this is a pretty nice shower rod. I like the matte gold finish on it. It assembles really easily, holds a lot of weight, and seems to stay in place pretty well. What I don't like about it when comparing it to other rods is that it comes in about 8 different pieces that all screw together. Not a huge deal, but each connection point is a weak point that adds flexibility in what should be a solid pole. Again, that doesn't mean this won't do the job. It still looks great and works perfectly. All in all this is a good value.

I did not like that this was difficult for me to put together, I really wanted to use it in my bathroom. However, a piece of the rod that was suppose to be pulled out is stuck and I just can't seem to get it loose. I tried several times without fail, and nothing worked. I am holding on to it, incase I come up with a solution to get the part unstuck. Overall it is a built very well, it can be made a bit more user friendly to put together.

The only drawback is that this works by adding lengths of pipe to adjust width, not a tension spring which would allow for more minor adjustments when fitting the gap that needs filling. I am using this as a curtain holder to cover a large opening into a unique walk-in closet setup in an older apartment. It is just about 1/2" too long to fit the span without causing the rod to curve a bit . The curve isn't visible once the fabric curtain is hung but it would be easier to use if it had that tension that can be adjusted by the use of an internal spring in the rod. Still I do recommend it. It has added an elegant solution to covering that closet entry in my room.
