Very sturdy. Redoing our bedroom and wanted matte black fixtures, so got these for an extra wide shelf in the closet.

Put up these bracket very strong and did the job that I wanted. I put up a floating shelf in my kitchen and it was great very sturdy.

These are super strong and well made. If the wall that will be behind this is not perfectly smooth, make sure to get thin shims to level it. Because it is very long, any small imperfection in the wall could cause the end point to be out of level. I used thin stainless steel strips and they worked great. They look great and perform very well.

minus one star just because the product name is misleading. I would consider floating shelves to be the kind where you cannot see the brackets that are holding them in place. These are clearly visible, which for my use is fine.Good value compared to box store brackets and they look nice. I use these or 4 ft wide 11 inch deep hardwood shelves. The shelf boars are 1 1/4 inch thick and with 3/4 screws holding them to the bracket I am not concerned with the overhang. Used to display Lego models so moderate weight.
