I am always surprised when I find another Black & Decker product that does a great job. They have been designing since 1843 and I've been using their stuff my whole life.This is the best ice bucket I've ever used. It is double-walled so the ice stays cold a very long time. It has a drip tray in the bottom so the ice stays mostly dry for the first while, anyway. It is a good enough size that I could chill champagne if I chose to. I've only used it as an ice bucket and not a chiller. It is robust and is probably the last ice bucket I'll ever need. What it lacks in elegance it makes up for in function and ability. It looks like and feels like quality and makes a great impression.

Credit where credit is due – BLACK+DECKER isn’t just for power tools anymore! This is a great ice bucket – ice lasts practically forever thanks to the drain plate at the bottom. The ice bucket looks good, too, with the black and stainless-steel exterior. I like the removable handle, so it looks better on a table or sideboard, and not like something you dragged out of the picnic supplies in the garage at the last minute. The handle is also the source of a gripe: the rubber grip on the handle falls off easily and at once, causing the handle to slip out of your grip; better to remove it immediately, or cement it on with contact cement. Everything but this minor point is high-quality – it seems strange that this was overlooked in the design process! I also like the tight-fitting gasketed lid, which keeps air out and cool in. I haven’t used this outside, but I can say that the ice lasts far longer than any dinner party yet!

Beautiful ice bucket that is a pleasure to add to our bar area and bring out at parties. This is not a “huge” bucket, but is plenty big for our needs.The insulated stainless steel interior keeps ice cold for a very long time (many hours!). It feels like a cheaper quality steel (you can feel the ridges in it & it’s not super smooth like bakeware), but, it’s plenty fine for an “ice bucket.”I do love all the thought that went into this, creating such a nice quality item. There is a well-fitted, easy to remove (knobbed) ice/water straining bottom, to keep ice from sitting in any melted water. An insulated SS lid with gasketed edge to keep it sealed on top. An attached hook for nicely holding the ice tongs (& keeping them clean). A removeable SS handle (undecided if this is a plus or minus, as “it doesn’t fall off”, but it almost too easily removes also), which also has a [removeable] rubber grip attached for a more secure & warmer hold, I presume. No complaints.It’s a lovely item to own, and will likely be the last one we will ever need (unless someone takes it, lol)!! I think it would make a VERY lovely & classy gift (bday, Xmas, wedding, etc) for the right person/couple. Impressive (tho cld do without the semi-prominent B&D logo—eyeroll lol).

I got this for my husband’s man cave and its truly a hit. Instead of having to go upstairs to get ice I just fill this up and take it to the basement while him and the boys are watching football. The ice stays cold for hours without you worrying about it melting. It has a really sleek design and comes with the ice grabbers. Black and decker is a recognizable name known for its quality pieces so I expected nothing less from this.
