I'm very happy with this desk lamp.It casts a uniform light across the entire work area of my 5 ft. desk. The lamp arms can be angled forward towards the front of the desk if needed for coverage there. The light intensity is bright enough for reading, or to see a keyboard. However, even at max brightness, it's nowhere near as bright as a "worklight" intended soldering, woodworking, sewing, etc.The wired remote control is one of this lamp's best features. No batteries to replace, no little remote to lose! It eliminates reaching to operate the lamp, and has large buttons and a metal knob for easy operation with one hand. It looks and feels nice, and is sufficiently weighty to remain in place on its non-slip backing. The cord is long enough to provide lots of placement options. The lamp arms droop down a bit, especially at maximum extension, detracting somewhat from the lamp's appearance.

This light is a little bit different and is more of an adjustable bar light that when opened up can cover a pretty large area with light. It is designed to be clamped to the desk top and does not come with a base, if your desk top does not hang over and provide a place to clamp this lamp you may find it difficult to use. The flexible "goose-neck" is very flexible and can be moved into virtually any position you need but it tends to actually wobble and move a little bit which to me is distracting. The cords are nice and long and allow you to use the lamp in many different locations. The control panel for the light is attached to the cord and can be mounted to your desk for ease of us. Overall it works well but is a slightly awkward design.

Perfect for desks where you just want to light your desk area and not whole room. The lighting is smooth and even and covers a wide area with few shadows. The only thing that would make it better was if there was a way to make it just a bit taller for going over larger monitors or monitors on a stand that block the base from clamping.

This is a wide light that can be used to cover most of a desk and is adjustable to help brighten up a specific spot. There is a little bit of a sag and can interfere with your monitors. It's not much of an issue for me because I have the far lights perpendicular with the base; however, when I fully extend the light arms it interferes with my 2nd monitor. My biggest issue with this is the gooseneck that holds up the light bar. It's flexible and holds it's position very well, but it tends to wobble if the desk wobbles ever so slightly. I suppose it's not an issue if the desk is very sturdy, but I think most desks these days wobble a little and the gooseneck amplifies the wobble into the light.I didn't think I would use the 30 minute timer, but I've started using it as a pomodoro timer to help me keep track of time. The light control works well, requiring about 2 full rotations to go from brightest to dimmest. It would be better if it were 1 full rotation, but that's very minor. The power cables are nice and long and can work well with 6ft desks.
