I bought this to flag new plants so my landscaping help doesn’t rip them out or step on them as they are working. It’s perfect. Flexible so it won’t constrict growth and easy to tear while still appearing durable enough to last a year or so to obtain the growth to make them more visible as “not a weed”

DESCRIPTION> Basic flagging tape about 1 1/8" wide by 150' long.> Bright, translucent, flexible, water-proof, plastic ribbon. Non-adhesive.> Stretchy and tough, but breaks fairly easily into the desired lengths.> Weather resistant, will probably stay in place, without significant fading outdoors for years (but I haven't tested this specific color and brand).> Slightly textured, which helps it stay tied, when tied. But it is also easily removable.USES> The traditional use is for marking things, such as tagging trees to be cut down (or not), or limbs to be trimmed, etc.> > Usually things "to do" are marked in red, orange, or yellow. Things to "leave alone" are marked blue or green.> You can use it to mark anything you can tie it to.> > These could be items on sale.> > These could be items to be moved (or not moved).> You can blaze hiking trails.> You can use it for party decorations.> You can use it with costumes, e.g., to make "grass" skirts, or to identify teams (e.g. with headbands or armbands)> You can use it for off-beat ribbons for gifts, etc.> You can hold one end and throw it off a the top of a building for long bright streamers.> You can use it as a "barrier" tape (like police tape), such as to divide a "parking area" from a "non-parking area".> With stakes, etc. you can use it to mark off areas for various purposes, e.g. to outline the proposed location of a house, the location of underground pipes or a septic tank. > With stakes, etc. you can use it to mark the location of rows of vegetable plants (before they sprout), so you'll know where to water and where not to walk> You can use it to tie-up delicate plants, such as young vegetable plants to stakes---there is actually a dark green version for this purpose.> You can use it for safer bondage games, since the tied-up person can break loose if necessary.> Ordinary adhesive tape does stick well to flagging tape, so you can use adhesive tape to attach flagging tape to things.NOT SUITABLE FOR> Flagging tape is stretchy and intentionally not strong (so that you can tear off pieces as you need it)---so it isn't good as string or rope for tying most things together.> There is no adhesive backing, so you can't use it to "tape" things together.> Click on “Stoney” just below the product title to see my other reviews, or leave a comment to ask a question.
