Very easy to install, whisper quiet, literally can’t hear it running over the sound of shower running. Replaced an old 30+ year old fan that couldn’t keep up with the moisture of old fan in our small bathroom. Fan draws moisture out in seconds!

I used this unit to retrofit into a box for 20-year-old Broan 688 motor which was becoming very noisy. The box of the old unit was somewhat smaller. Thus, in two units I could use the old grate covers. However, on one unit with the metal box went into the wall shallower, I used the new cover which projected outward more. The solid cover does decrease the noise even more. But you can see around the edges so when I used this one, I repatched and painted the wall around the box. In addition, in one of the boxes I used duct tape to augment the air seal between the new motor and the old metal box.

My 25 year old broan 50CFM 4.0 was failing, so it was time to replace. I made sure this one fit into the existing housing, so installation was a breeze. It really is a lot quieter at 2.0, if you use the fan to cover the sound of you taking a dump you might want to go louder. But I prefer a quieter fan. Apparently it is more energy efficient as well while still pulling out the same air, but I could find no information as to power usage. i've had this for some months now and no issues at all. If I had to complain, it looks like the new cover design may restrict airflow a bit, but at only 50CFM, its likely not.

Installs easily and is very quiet. Be aware they don't provide any screws to mount or wire nuts. No screw for the ground wire.Would have given 5 of 5 rating if there were at least a screw for the ground wire.
