The jacketed and insulated tinned strand wire is perfect for outdoor installations, and in fact, I used it to extend some of my low-voltage outdoor lighting. The outer PVC jacket is flexible and seemed very resilient as I tucked it around a rock wall. The wire itself is easy to solder and connect using the appropriately sized wire connectors. For the price and quality, the wire is a good value and was perfect for my project..

These wires seem to have a good quality. The insulation and the wire are all meeting my expectations. The wire is flexible . The wire gauge is true to the size. This is tinned copper. So it should be mostly copper with thin layer of tin outside to help protect the pure copper inside. Tried to solder this wire and it is easy to solder them. Highly recommend.

This is a nice cable. It seems to be pretty solidly what it says in the specifications, and seems to be copper wire. The package comes with some heat shrink tubing and some black zip ties.

I wanted to make a 4 pin XLR extension cable for my balanced headphones since my amp is across the room from my listening spot. I wanted it long enough I could run it along the baseboard of my room. I decided to make my own since these types of extension cables aren't that common and when I did find one that was long enough, they were quite expensive.PROs:-The wire is good quality, and actually copper (not copper clad aluminum, or some other inferior composition)-While not super flexible, it's pretty good given how thick the rubber jacket is and doesn't have too much memory (can lay flat after being unwound). It also is slick/smooth on the outside, which was great in my case since I was tucking it between my carpet and baseboard.-The wires soaks up solder, so are really easy to tin. You might not even need to flux it first (but I did)-The inner wires are easy to strip if you have the right size of wire strippers, and the outer jacket can be taken off without too much trouble with a sharp knife-The inside wires are stiff enough that it can bent slightly to where you need it, so you don't have to use helping hands to hold every single wire when working with it.-The package includes some nice tidbits like some heatshrink and zip ties-Low resistance (I measured something like 0.03 ohms for the whole 25ft length)CONs:-The outer jacket has writing on it, so not ideal for applications where it will be visible-They don't have anything thicker than 20 gauge for the 4 conductor variant, so you'll need to look elsewhere if you need something more beefy (like for speakers)All in all, this is a good quality wire that's easy to work with. I used the whole length (25ft) for my XLR extension cable and it turned out great. It also doesn't affect the sound in any way that I can tell. So now I can enjoy my balanced headphones across the room without an unsightly tripping hazard.

I cut and filed the end of this cable and then peaked at it with my microscope and didn't see the telltale silver color of copper clad aluminum, so it does appear to be legitimate copper wire. The individual conductors are undersized for their gauge claim by about 1.5-2% but that seems to be typical of all the wire I have gotten here, so I may be measuring it wrong. That said, you really shouldn't be running your cable that close to the limit anyways. The length indicators printed on the jacket show that I have about a foot extra, roughly, so it seems like I'm getting what was described. The jacket is durable and molded around each conductor rather than being a sleeve style. This helps prevent moisture intrusion from creeping up the cable over time.Over all, not a bad bundle of wire.
