I can't imagine this is true cat7 cable but the insulation is very nice. it's a shame the wire is aluminum not copper and it's smaller gage, but for the price, it works great. I also bought a cheap $20 tool kit to put ends on. pass through connection works easier for diy

Disclaimer: I don't have anything to test CAT7 speeds as there is only so much on the home market router-wise that has 2.5gb ethernet ports even, and most of it is still pretty pricey. However, I opted to go with CAT7 to future-proof my home network, which is primarily used for in-home streaming of HD/4K content (for online streaming services, wifi is just fine, but if you don't want to sacrifice quality for the stuff you actually own, hardwired is the way to go). I do have a new NAS sitting in my office that has 2.5gb support, so those speeds will be tested eventually, but routers and switches will need upgrading first. All that said, here are the positives:- No issue playing a blu ray over the local network (BDMV folder off a NAS via Samba shares).- No latency or packet loss, no stutter in the video.- Cable is sturdy (good thing since I was pushing it through some floor joists with drilled out holes that weren't exactly smooth)- Solid RJ45 connector - the head is not flimsy at allThis is rated for indoor and outdoor use so I'm not entirety surprised that it's a decently sturdy, well-shielded cable. Zero issues on the 1 gigabits per second network (coming in at around 125 megabytes per second a.k.a. 1000 megabits). Couldn't be happier, and the thickness definitely made this easier to fish through the wall.Orange also makes this cable stand out if you've got a pile of spaghetti to contend with.

I only have 2.5Gbps internet at home so I can't speak to the cable's capabilities of supporting 10Gbps speeds, however it worked flawlessly at these speeds. I consistently reach 2.3Gbps up and down without issue, which is totally reasonable after router overhead and such. The only real downside is the color of this cable. Probably better used for outdoor routing or routing through the walls as the orange in my opinion is kinda ugly. Alas, this cosmetic issue doesn't affect the functionality of the cable so it's a 5 star for me. I would recommend.

The cable is great. Has a very protective coating which will do good on the outside portion of the house

Ottimo.
