I admit that once upon a time, I chased the dragon. I owned progressively more expensive grinders and espresso machines and pour-over machines...at some point, I gave up chasing fantasies and bought the Ninja Luxe Cafe Premier. I don't give five star reviews unless something changes my life.My friends, welcome to a five star review of the Ninja Luxe Cafe Premier.Every day, I awaken at 5am to get ready for my day. One of the very first things I do is make my first double-shot oat milk latte. Not every day, but often, a second cup comes around 9am. If I was paying someone, I'd be broke, and if I was doing what I used to, that would be 30 minutes. Now, it's ensuring there's water in the reservoir, beans in the hopper, and the pitcher filled with oat milk and in place in the foaming station. Then I push one button to get a perfect 18g of beans ground at the optimal setting per the system's brains - I do have to WDT, level, and tamp, as well as putting the portafilter in the unit. Then I push two buttons and walk away. A short three minutes or so later, I return to a perfectly pulled double-shot and perfectly foamed oat milk. All I have to do is assemble. While there have been a few times where I forgot to put the glass under the portafilter, this is otherwise so easy you can do it sleepwalking.So, now I get my one to two cups of coffee a day, at least as good as I'll get at the drive through run by teenagers with FAR too much energy for 5am, and while it wasn't cheap, if I simply add up all the cups I've had since I got it, it's saved me money already.Good coffee requiring barely any brains for well under $600 is a steal. SO much so that many more influential reviewers have indicated it's a shot across the bow of high-priced semi-automatic espresso machines. For 66% of the price of the least expensive alternative semi-automatic machines, the Ninja Luxe Cafe simply smokes the competition. And if you don't believe me, go research it. You'll find even James Hoffman grudgingly admires this machine.Simply put, coffee shop quality espresso drinks, requiring very little effort, making the indulgence less indulgent? Yes, please. I smile every damn day when I get my coffee!

I am very pleased with the Ninja Luxe Cafe. I had purchased an expensive Espresso / Latte machine which looks fabulous but ended up a being a major pain to clean. It's a feature that often gets overlooked in the reviews. I have used other Ninja products and they have always met my expectations or more. I use the Ninja coffee machine for my daily coffee. It works great. But I have a weakness for lattes, especially on weekends. It's my reward if I have been a good boy during the week. I am working on a book and traipsing over to Starbucks for my weekend fix was a bit much. And was also getting tired of shelling out $5+ for a latte. This is a well designed all-in-one machine. It grinds the beans, makes the espresso, and does a great job with the foam (also a must for me). The getting started videos are excellent and I was up and running quickly. The cleaning and maintenance is what makes the difference for me. What about the latte itself? There is no noticeable difference, at least for me, with a Latte from Starbucks. I also get some consistency, unlike at Starbucks depending on the store and the barrista. I am not an espresso connoiseur and I don't have endless amount of time to waste to work on the "best" espresso. For me, good enough is good enough. The machine also does a lot more, but for what I need this is a great machine and a winner. Highly recommend.

Original Review:I have a more expensive Delonghi automatic machine, but own a lot of Ninja appliances so when I saw this and what it claims it can do I had to get it. I can honestly say I'm disappointed. I followed the instructions setting it up and getting it calibrated so to say. I made a rich cup of coffee and it wasn't bad, but noticed when I set it to 10 oz it made more than 10. I then wanted to see how well it did espressos. I use Fabula espresso beans. I set the setting to double shot and it gave me a single that was way to concentrated. There was a very tiny amount of crema so not good in my opinion. The puck that came out of the portafilter was not as solid as it should have been. I tried another cup of coffee this time on classic vs rich and set it to 8 oz. It made more than 8 oz. For coffee it always recommends the grind at the max 25 no matter what. The measurements are off. The unit looks high end and the concept is nice, but its not doing what it claims it can do. I did try different beans and after 3 tries it was barely letting water out to the point my cup barely had anything in it. The other thing I noticed is even with the guard on when grinding it leaves a mess. This would be a good beginner machine, but it's definitely not without faults.Update:After watching several videos and seeing everyone have positive outcomes I thought maybe I received a defective unit, which can happen so I decided to try a new one.I can say that the new unit works correctly as intended. Amounts are correct and I'm actually getting crema. It did take me 5 times vs 3 to get the correct recommended grind number, but the end result is positive. It's still really meant for beginners, but at the price point and options it's good. If you receive one and don't see results you should see, try another. Just make sure your beans are fresh.
