This shirt is really lightweight yet protective of the sun, great for desert activities. I like the snap fasteners (the other model uses buttons), even though I feel you have to be careful with them. The plus size is well proportioned. I wish it were easier to buy these in more colors--the Amazon search is really clunky.

I have skin cancer at age 65 & I live at the beach, so I have to have Protection at all times when I am out side. I have tried many brands & styles. I LOVE This shirt! Very Comfy, looks Stylish, & Feminine, very Lightweight, love the Pockets & the Snaps!! So far I have purchased 3 in different colors & plan to get as many colors as I can as they reduce in prices. I wear a 38D, weight is 180-190, 5'4" tall & carry my weight in my waist area & I buy a 1Big sz, it fits nicely, not tight, but not sloppy. The shirt is not hot in anyway, nice & cool. Great shirt, Great Price, easy wear, easy care, fast shipping.

These shirts are great for travel. They can be washed in a sink (or river) and will be dry within hours. They are thin fabric, so keep that in mind if you don't plan on wearing a tee underneath. I deducted one star because the sizing is incorrect. You need to size up one size unless you like your shirts very fitted. I also find it annoying that you can't remove the Columbia logo from the front. It should be the customer's option whether they want to be a walking advertisement for Columbia. That being said, I continue to buy these shirts because they are great for the field and for travel.

You can't beat Columbia for quality, innovation and wearability. These shirts have venting to let the heat out, SPF 50 to keep you from sunburn, and an uncanny ability to dry almost instantly. Lots of pockets, some with velcro closures. The pockets have drain holes! You can actually feel cooler wearing a light colored one with the sleeves down than being bare. Amazing utility shirt for fishing, boating, kayaking or the beach, yet you can button them up, tuck them in and go to a nice place for dinner and it'll pass for a dress shirt. They wear like iron.They also make pants, some that convert into shorts, out of the same type of material. Some even have swim trunk like "undies" in them.I'm very prone to sunburn and take medication that makes it worse. On top of that, I've had some precancerous spots on my skin that had to be removed. So, I have to be completely covered when I'm outside for any length of time. I also like to sail/kayak. BAAAD combo... However, with one of these shirts and a pair of the pants, I'm perfectly safe. Moreover, I can be soaked to the skin and by the time I've got the yak and equipment packed up, I'm dry and ready to drive home. :-)I should explain that I'm reviewing the Columbia line of clothing, both men's and women's. This particular shirt is my wife's. ;-) Only thing is that they're wicked expensive. Watch for closeouts and sales.My wife said to mention that the sizes by style differ WILDLY. Watch the description of the cut (Loose, form fit, etc.) and order accordingly.
