I bought this despite the negative reviews about it. We have a very large over 100 lbs, lean long lanky 9 yr.old German Shepherd with Degenerative Myelopathy. We have several types of lift harnesses for him. He can still walk with assistance but needs help getting up. I'm finding this one to be 2nd best for our needs with him. I've got a few off of Temu which also can be found on amazon, one of which I won't use anymore, bcz its too hard to get it under his four legs to get it on. The most easiest to LIFT and HANDLE him in, is the OneTigris brand but its a full vest and just way too hot for summer use. Even in the house in winter, I think our boy was getting too warm with it on--and we have a drafty house. As well, that one is pull-over-the-head --needs to be a buckle to get that on/off in that location. To me, its a design flaw that could be easily changed by that company. Our dog has got his one front leg caught in the neck part. Try and get that leg out from that! But this particular harness stays on his legs and is great for summer use. Another style I have, the strap was always falling off of his legs [a harness that goes just around the back end] and the stretchy strap from his collar to his back section of the harness was too short for him. We also found that it caused leg chafing--this harness has not caused any leg chafing or irritation. I read that someone else found this particular harness that I am reviewing here did not work for their dog with DM so it was a bit off-putting for me if I should get it for him or not. But I took the chance on this...out of the 4 harnesses that I do have, I'm finding this one, prob. the best for ease of use, coolness for warm weather, staying 'put' on his body and that he's not peeing into it, like he was with the Tigris brand. The Tigris brand gave me more lift POWER since I am helping him up using the harness around his body instead of just the straps on his legs with the handle on the back. Still, all in all, I like this harness and would recommend it. Someone with a dog that is not as heavy as our guy should not have the same issues as us only due to the weight/size of our dog. When I ordered this, I was also worried that it may not fit him as he's so large but there is PLENTY of room to expand. In fact, I had expanded it only to realize that it would likely fit a very fat, or SUPER LARGE or very fluffy dog. I had to make it smaller again to fit him.

Our aging lab has lost feeling in his hind feet and this helps to get him up and down stairs without falling. No belly strap means no mess for male dogs. True to size chart. Machine wash.1000 out of 10 for the suppot we are able to give our dog easily!!

This is the second harness that I tried. Love that it fits around the legs and not the belly where my elderly dog has a (non cancerous) growth that could not be removed. Less expensive than the help ‘‘em up harness that my vet recommended (and did not work).

We were super excited to get this harness due to specific features it offered. The harness that we are currently using on our big boy Bowser. The under padding is to wide. So when he relieves himself, he pees all over it which makes removing the harness a huge mess. As he pees himself as well.We were excited to see that area was much more open with your harness which meant our boy could relieve himself without peeing all over the harness or himself. Delivery took a day longer than originally stated. Then the back leg straps were way to snug on Bowsers legs he had much less leg mobility in this harness then he did in the previous one we were using. And when we attempted to stand him up while wearing your harness and lifting his back end he yelped. We assume it pinched him.Perhaps try making the back leg straps adjustable or using a stretchable elastic material. There were a lot of features however that we did like about this harness such as the full body support it offered as we have 2 flights of stairs we have to take our boy up & down to go outside. With your harness on my son literally had to pick Bowser up and carry him down the stairs and we had to switch harnesses altogether needless to say, because the back leg holes were just to restricting on our boy.We unfortunately will be returning your harness as it just didn’t preform the way we had hoped. Oh and for those wondering Bowser is a VERY large Golden Retriever weighing around 80lbs who is now 13 yrs old and lost the mobility of his back legs🥺.

For my 14yr old husky: I needed a safe harness that would accommodate his reduced mobility and allow me to better support him. This harness is of great quality and adjustability. The hind leg braces and handles allow for easier walks, stair climbs and car onboarding. Thank you so much.
