These anchors work very well in hard materials. such as tile, metal, thick plastics and stone/cement.They won't work in drywall or plaster/softer materials.

These are my favorite anchor for attaching to concrete. I use them setting cabinet bases, thresholds, etc. Of course they don't hold like a steel sleeve or wedge anchor, but for lighter duty applications they're great.

Worked great. These are needed when mounting something on tile. After drilling a 1/4 inch or 6 mm hole in the tile, you tap these into the hole with a hammer. This allows you to put a screw in. My bathroom blinds are holding nicely. These will often be longer than the whole is deep. I just took a putty knife / painters tool and placed the edge against the base of the anchor where it comes out of the tile. A couple of taps with a hammer and it cuts it off flush with the surface. Ez-peasy.

Have had a hard time finding these locally. I used to do a lot of electrical work and found the to be a very solid fastening device. Glad I once again reconnected with them.

I'm retired but worked as a carpenter/cabinet maker for many years and often used a green anchor that looked exactly like these for use in sheetrock and concrete walls. The ones I used back in the 70's and 80's worked well in drywall. These are extremely hard and not flexible as I remember green anchors like this. This may have something to do with the expiration date stamped on the cover of the package "EXP 2007". I had no idea that plastic anchors could expire but maybe they harden after a while. The seller makes no mention of the expiration date in his listing. The softer ones would expand a little when pounded in a 1/4" hole, and accept a screw nicely. I haven't had a chance to use them yet to see how this may affect the use, but these are very hard so might not work in drywall.
