My 11 year old son competes regularly in cubing competitions and will only use this cube. He’s tried them all.

My son loves competing in cubing competitions and this is the cube he loves. He practices EVERY day and carries it in his pocket as a fidget toy. It’s quiet so it doesn’t drive me crazy hearing the click, click of the turning. Great product and he performs well at competitions with it.

The Tornado V4 is easily one of the top 3 speedcubes on the market as of now with its smooth and controlled turning feel, cube is very stable with its new magnet setup but still has it tactile feel while turning, corner cutting seems to be about the same as other cube in its price point.If your coming to this cube from the older Tornado V3 Pioneer your going to have a hard time adjusting, the cube just feel too different for me to keep my average and raised my time by 2 seconds. The main thing I notice was the turning force needed the V4 was much lighter to turn compared to the V3, magnet strength seems to be weaker in the V4, I'm not getting that crisp tactile feel while tuning. Auto alignment is gone in the V4, this was the hardest part to get use to, my turning isn't the most accurate and having the auto alignment really helped me out.I do recommend this with a caveat. If this is going to be your first high end cube your not going to find anything better within its price point. If your coming to this cube from the V3 I would look for videos online before you make your choice it seems the V4 Standard model is closer to the V3 with the magnet updates.
