These were great when I made little tarts. They are very easy to use and also easy to clean.

I have found that when baking in general with molds that have holes on them, makes the release of food much easier, this will work great for cookies, especially the gooey sticky ones like Florentines. Still be sure to season them with butter or oil before using them. Highly recommended.

I've never made pie crusts (or anything else) in a pan or plate without a bottom, so I wasn't sure how well these would work. It took a few attempts to get the hang of it, but they work! Set the rings on a flat surface (cutting board, or tray), and press your crust into the bottom and along the sides. I used a shortbread crust, which worked perfectly once I understood how to do it. (Would probably work perfectly with pie pastry, as long as it wasn't too stiff. I'm not sure it would work with a really crumbly crust, like graham cracker, but I'm willing to try that on another day.)Even when my shortbread wasn't pressed quite evenly against the sides, all the unevenness was soon hidden by the custard filling -- the rings kept the visible outside of the crusts beautiful and smooth.I haven't tried this yet, but it looks like the rings can be stacked two or more deep so that you could have a deeper well in which to add your filling. If I can get the hang of lining these with pie pastry, I plan to try filling a deeper (two ring?) cup with stew or something similar.

Nice sturdy smooth rings with no visible joins. They are black and I am just hoping that the coating will hold up over time.

Yes, I really love these.Standard size for mini tartlets and other pastries. They are reasonably strong; I would really have to squeeze them hard to distort them.The perforations are wonderful; I love the tiny little dots they leave on the pastry cases.The tops and bottoms are rounded, so you are not going to cut yourself on these rings.The non-stick sprayed on finish has been applied smoothly and evenly.This is a nice size set. There are 12 of them, so you should have more than enough for whatever recipe you are making.I am quite pleased with these rings.
