This item costs a bit more than others but it has a real waterproof rating of IP65 and the frame and body are real metal. I see a lot of cheaper IP45 units made of plastic but that is merely "water resistant". I bought this for my wife's headstone, so I want it to be day in and day out reliable. So far, so good. My only complaint is the brightness. It's not real bright but, where this is purely for accent lighting and is in no way functional, it's OK. That's why I gave it just 4 stars. If you want something for lighting a patio or such, this is probably not that item.

I purchased this lantern for the hook on my garden flag, but it can be used anywhere. It comes with a plastic hook and hardware to hang on a wall. I didn't know the hook was plastic until I touched it. This solar lantern is much nicer than I thought it would be.

These lights are just beautiful. The pattern reflects all over our front porch. They came very well packaged, too, no damage.And they charge up quickly, with a good eight hours or more of Illumination! Highly recommend. We've gotten lots of compliments on them, too. They're a nice size and a great value.

I bought a set of these for myself 2 summers ago and they are just so dang pretty. I keep them out year round and they light up the snowy evenings as well as they did in summer. I like them so much I'm giving a few as Christmas gifts this year.

I bought this lantern last summer and it's been outside on a shepherd's hook with northeast sun exposure since then. Once the sun's down, this lantern lights up beautifully, even on days that aren't so sunny. This survived a Pennsylvania winter with absolutely no damage functionally, structurally or esthetically. When I take my dogs out around 5am each morning, the lantern is still lighting up! That's the part that blows my mind. This thing is lit from sundown until sun up. It's beautiful and so many people tell me they love it. Buy it!
