I bought these for my 7yr old to wear during flag football. They play on artificial turf. They're comfortable enough that he doesn't complain. They stay in place better then knee pads. Totally worth it after watching one of his teammates get rug-burn and bruising all over his legs after a fall.

Everytime I see a kid hit the gym floor with knees first my knees ache and I cringe. I trashed my knees as a kid and am paying for it in adult hood. I love the padding on the knees. My kid fell many times during basketball this season and he just hopped back up....unlike the other kids who got up rubbing their skinned knees or having to walk off the court because they were hurt so bad.
