I purchased this for my parents home and have been using it for approximately two years. It is easy to use and has been working great since I installed it. It is low voltage, but you can still run up to a total of a 120 Watts in total. I have it set for the 9 hours so it comes on automatically and runs through the nine hours then shuts off automatically. This works great for winter application. The lights will go off before nine hours if the sun comes up. Whats great about this unit is when they loose power to the house, which is often, and the power is restored, there is no time clock to reset. Because the unit uses the Photo electric eye to turn unit on, it automatically starts the countdown to run the unit to the hours you previously set it. I would purchase this unit again.

We had purchased a Dewenwils transformer with a clock and other features which we never could get to work. We returned it and purchased this simple model, we have purchased previously, and it installed in minutes and it is working perfectly. The lesson here? Keep to the simple models that do one thing perfectly instead of the "smart" or other models that try and do it all. The last one of this model we purchased lasted over five years in our Florida Hot and Humid weather. A great product you will love.

We got this to replace the stock one that came with our deck lighting from the decking company and it has worked out great. The setup was easy and a functionality is simplistic and effective. I just set it to come on at dusk and then stay on for 3 hours and turn off. Our previous one had a little screen but the plastic cover on the screen peeled off and cracked in the sun and made the whole device useless as he could no longer read what was displayed. This one is a very limited screen, but I appreciate the sturdiness and quality feel to it and you really don't need anymore than what's displayed.

Plug in and set the hours to keep it on and that’s it. Simple. This is a heavy item, substantial which is great. Probably built well......no extra fancy gadgets....... works just like it says it willAn additional note: if you turn off the power or the power goes out for some reason, this Transformer won’t reset on it’s own.....it will only work if set to “always on”. If you leave it plugged in and set it manually......you’re out of luck as well.....it will only work if set to “always on”. We were getting exasperated and about to send them back....we bought 2. There are no instructions for how to reset the transformer but here is how you do it. Set the transformer to 0 then Unplug it.......you have to actually unplug it. we left ours unplugged overnight because we had no idea how long to leave it unplugged for [we tried 15 minutes but that wasn’t enough time]. When you plug it back in, the lights will all come on and the transformer will be still set to 0..........only then can you use the up and down arrows to set the number of hours you want the lights to stay on after dark. I’m not sure what there aren’t reset instructions.....but there aren’t. Other than this little temperamental glitch ........ they are perfect
