This is a very good gaffer tape. The adhesion power is up to the best brands out there but it is so good that it will leave glue residues on surfaces. Be careful with where to apply it to then. It will definitely peel off walls and leave a lot of residues over metallic surfaces and other types of surfaces, especially after being submitted to some type of heat (the sun or a hot light fixture for instance). In that regard, it is just like any other gaff tape.

I would say this is about 95% light blocking. It does the job and if you double up on whatever you want to block it does to get to about or at 100%. I also had issues with it not sticking for too long. The adhesive just isn't as strong as I would it to be, but I know this is meant for like camera shoots and stuff so they need it to not leave any residue. Maybe they can release a version that is way sticker for situations that doesn't require a clean removal. I have light sources that I have considered just breaking the led light for, but i'd rather not mess with, so a very sticky blockout tape would be appreciated.

I'm a DJ as well so I play in a lot of different venues. One of the things I am always buying is gaffer tape. I've got to tape down cables to be safe and for things to look good. At the same time I can't damage floors by removing a finish or leaving behind sticky residue.This tape fits the bill, I've used it multiple times and it works plenty well. I apply it and them remove it 7-8 hours later and there's no issue. There's not much else to say, it sticks and releases well which is exactly what I need!
