The metal is to weak to produce a decent cut. First one broke before cutting half way down.

This is clearly not for hardwoods! I tried it on a piece of zebra wood, bought for just this purpose, and it broke after barely starting the reverse side. Also, 2 of the 4 set screws flew out at some point and are now missing, with no spares in the package. There are also NO instructions, such as minimum and maximum thickness of wood for each bit size, speed, etc. Not real impressed, I will spend the money and get good bits next time. Good idea, poor execution, and even worse quality.

I used the drill bit to rough cut this bracelet from Gabon Ebony. That is super hard wood but the device got the job done on the outside edge. It cut the profile with it. Because I was rushed for time I finished removing the center plug with a 2 1/4 Hole Saw (Hole Dozer) to speed things up.I saw other buyers stating that they had drill bits breaking on them. The one I used did not. I took my time and slowed my drill press down to 1000 rpm. So, it takes patience using it but my drill bit held up fine. I could have finished using it but, again, I wanted to cut the plug out faster because I needed to show it to someone rather quickly. In short, I would buy these drill bits again.

Don’t waste your money on this. Comes with no instructions for the best type of wood or the thickness of wood. The first bit broke in pieces, the second time I tried the wood breaks apart. I have tried different types of wood for hardness and thickness and still the same results.
