I bought a 5 lb set for my grand kids to use in their garage gym while their parents worked out. These are very nice and I will certainly buy the 10 lb set when they are ready (the oldest is 6 with a 4, 3, and 2 year old,-). These are nice enough if I needed more plate weights, these are what I would buy.

I am slowly adding to my home gym. This was my bigger investment this year. I was SO excited to have the weights delivered. Opening them and seeing the colors and quality in person, they are what is advertised. One 45# weight was lost in delivery. I communicated with the company and had a replacement weight delivered to my door in 5 days. Great service and product! I will use these for years to come!

The rubber is very smooth, nice to the touch, and has mild rubber smell. It’s not absent, but it’s not disturbing at all. So it’s likely a mid-to-high-quality rubber. It’s a tried and true design, easy to grip and carry. The pound markings are large, easy to see, raised characters with no printing that can wear off over time.The color scheme and shades of these plates is unusual, which some may like and others not. It’s a common complaint among colored weight plates that the colors are not as vivid in person as they appear in advertising. That is somewhat the case here, but it’s not a major departure. Plates often arrive with a very thin coating of oil on the surface to protect them, which temporarily enriches the color. If you clean this off, it will diminish color depth slightly.The price for these is in the higher-end of what might be considered budget plates, but what you get seems a step above budget plates, so I’ll call it a good deal. I noticed no defects on the rubber, the metal sleeve insert, or anything else. It’s hard to know how thick the rubber coating is—I’m not going to stick a knife into it to see. If you’re using over a hard surface instead of a thick rubber floor with give, remember these are not bumper plates. They are still iron plates, and should not be dropped like a bumper plate. It will damage the rubber coating over time.
