Loved this so much I bought this one for my daughter in-law.

This is a well made pressure cooker - Definitely a 5 star product. Everything works as intended. The metal is thick and perfectly made. It seals well and the spring loaded pressure indicator works. I don't like it as much as my other two pressure cookers. With this pressure cooker I have to look at it's indicator line to tell if it is at the lower pressure. With my cookers that have a weighted or spring loaded with pressure selector switch I can be in a different room and hear if they are working properly. I still think this is a very good pressure cooker.

I would give this pressure cooker 10 stars if I could, but I am giving it the full amount allowed because this cooker with it’s German engineering is awesome. This is a very high quality cooker. It’s got beautiful craftsmanship, and the safety features are excellent. It has two cooking settings and Its energy-efficient CookStar base ensures even heat distribution and is compatible with all stovetops, including induction. The glass lid is thick and the seals are very strong. I love that the handles has a locking indicator. The cooker is made from up to 90% recycled stainless steel, it is dishwasher safe (with the exception of removable parts), but its satin-finish exterior also resists fingerprints and smudges. It was easy to clean after using as well. I was able to cook meat with beans and vegetables in only 20 minutes with this cooker. The lid leaked a tiny bit, but nothing measurable (all 3 of my previous cookers did this as well). I cannot stress how nice this cooker is, in my opinion it’s nicer than the insta pot pro (which I have) and the Breville cooker (which I also have) which is more expensive. My daughter keeps asking for my pressure cooker, so I am giving her the Breville and keeping this one for myself. I just love it.

Fissler makes great cookware. I already had an 8.5 qt Fissler Vitaquick pressure cooker and a matching pressure skillet so I knew the brand was solid. My units are a bit older and many recipes I have found are for the 6ish qt size so I thought this would be a great addition (easy to adjust for different sizes but if you don't have to why bother!)Bottom line this pressure cooker is an improvement on the already great pans I have, the pressure operation is so smooth and silent when locking and coming to pressure and, once there, requires very little heat to stay at pressure, you don't have to fiddle around with it once you use it a time or two and get to know the heat levels to use.If I were to improve anything I would probably wish for a bit shorter and wider pot that has more surface area to brown and sauté prior to going to pressure. I may be nitpicking here as 6 qt recipes don't use as many of these ingredients and I have not had an issue yet, and I could always brown and sauté in skillet, but that would be my only negative comment.

Prior to getting this, I had no experience with pressure cookers. I had heard they were dangerous, and I guess the old ones really were. But I was getting sick of meals that took hours to cook, like beans and stews. So I thought I would try this one.Where has it been all my life? It cooks things so fast! I've only tried a couple meals in it, but it's very impressive. I was able to make onion jam in like 10 minutes. My only little complaint is I wish there were more pictures in the instructions and better tips on how to use it. I wasn't sure how to operate it until I watched a video tutorial. And I had some trouble figuring out how to get the lid on and off. But once you figure that out, it's all good.
