Buying this for your DIY RC model and you're OK with soldering tiny wires to bare board ESCs? Yup, this is the one to get! You will need the wires and connectors, but it's as light and as small as those little drone ESC's sold that claim they work with standard pwm throttle channel output, aircraft receivers like FlySky's FSA2 and others, that actually don't work with older types of RC receivers. Yeah it's a little more expensive, but it's useable with 1S/2S/3S batteries with a 5 volt switching regulator spliced into the vcc+ line to the receiver.This all assumes you know how to do these kinds of DIY electronic bits of wizardry, otherwise probably not the ESC for your intended uses.The other 'feature' of this ESC is that it's BLHeli32 firmware programmable. Which means if you do have one of the those USB port breakout/programming devices, it will detect and allow you to reprogram/reset parameters for your custom usages. Neat, huh?
