Didn’t know what I would receive but am so happy with this purschase. Well made and sturdy. Also came with 4 suet balls..I didn’t read that they were included - nice surprise! I would recommend this product …I feel it will last - also love the perch at the bottom for the little birds. My last one didn’t have that feature.

There was no top to feeder or wire hanger.

This item was very POORLY packaged ! Mailed in a brown paper bag-NO padding, foot rest arrived bent, was able to straighten . Should have been mailed in a box. WHY mail a wire cage in a brown paper bag??

I bought this to replace a similar (but flimsier) suet cylinder that raccoons had damaged. I got this one mainly because of the perch around the bottom -- I have a regular-visitor yellow-rumped warbler that loves suet but couldn't hang on to the sides of the previous cylinder. The perch on this one lets it sit comfortably to feed. And the loops where the hooks connect are much thicker and sturdier than the cheap one I had before, which should keep it in good condition even if the raccoons get at it. The suet balls that came with it were moist and scarfed up quickly by the birds. Somewhat pricey, but definitely worth the cost.

I got this suet feeder for my husband for Valentines day, so it's been out there about a month. So far the squirrels have not destroyed it and the birds love it, so that's good.I like it better than the suet cakes because the cakes end up getting dragged off by a squirrel. It holds 4 balls that are good size. It came with four wrapped balls and we ordered more.It took a couple days for the birds to find it but once they did they have been going nuts for it!Very happy with purchaseThanks for reading my review
