My dog used to have sensitive stomach and this became our savior. We tried pumpkin and medications, but it was this dried yams that fixed the runny stool. We tried other companies but not all dried yams are the same: some were rock hard, and most of them give runs probably because of additives. Only Sam's Yams and our own home-made dried yams worked for my dog. She gets one every morning for 12 years. It's actually not that much cheaper to make dried yams at home, and we are so happy to have Sam's Yams available. Thank you Sam's Yams!!

My German Shepherd will eat these when she is hungry - but she doesn't consider them a "real" treat. I usually give them to her to get her to quit begging for the other treats. However, after a few bags of these, my neighbor commented on how white her teeth had gotten. When I checked closely, all of her teeth, except her canines (for obvious reasons), were incredibly clean - no tartar anywhere. She is 8 years old and had been terribly neglected until I got her 6 months ago. I was working on other problems with the vet, so having her teeth get so clean so effortlessly was wonderful! These have also helped her poop piles instead of puddles ... if you get what I mean. However, since I am trying to take some weight off of her - and to be frugal - I cut the medium pieces in half and the larger pieces into two or three strips. Less mess, less waste ... and less waist, too! She doesn't really finish all of the big ones anyway so it works out fine with her.I know that this company also has the Bichon Fries which are smaller pieces, but she doesn't like those tiny pieces (because she is a very large dog), they are more expensive per pound, and she just swallows them if she eats them so her teeth don't get polished.Needless to say, my neighbor is getting these for her two dogs, too!

We have two small dogs (under 20 lbs each), so I cut each sweet potato skin in half for a daily chew treat. These chews are an excellent source of fiber and vegetable nutrients to round out the dogs' dietary needs. The manner in which the sweet potatoes are dried produces a rawhide texture with fairly deep ridges - wonderful for daily care of canine teeth. The product is a little pricey but it's natural, real food, so well worth it for our best buddies. It is not a substitute for well balanced, regular dog food, but rather an excellent supplement and tooth care bonus. Our dogs dance for their daily chew every morning after breakfast. *****Addition to my previously posted review: I'M WAITING FOR AMAZON TO PUT THIS ITEM IN THE PRIME PANTRY SO I CAN ADD IT TO MY AUTO DELIVERY ORDER.
