This cat fountain is meant to be as hands-free and quiet as can be. Very slight learning curve but there are tips on how to set it up. Every time interval which you set, 3, 4, or 6 hours, the bowl tips to dump what's left in the bowl into the wastewater container, taking stale water and cat hair with it, and then fills up the bowl 80, 100, or 120 ml. There are tips in the user guide on how much and how long those parameters should be based on how many cats you have. Then you fine tune it yourself. It looks very easy to clean. The only thing I'm missing from other cat fountains is running water, which cats like. When fresh water is being dispensed, if the cat is nearby, that would serve the same purpose, but it doesn't last long. Having to not worry about a filter is a good trade-off I think. If it lasts a long time and the cats like it (one has already started to drink from it) it's worth the $80 asking price.

I have two dogs and Three cats. They all drink from it. I fill it up maybe once every week. I do have a second water fountain for them upstairs. Fill that up every two days. The initial charging take a few hours. I got this three weeks ago. Still no need to charge it. I love that I can place it anywhere and no cords!

This cat water fountain is kind of pricey. I do like the design but I'm not sure if it works as flawless. It's hard to time how much my cat drinks. I do like that my cats are getting fresh water, but it also means more work for me to dump the waste water and fill up the water tank.
