UPDATE: My cats are now drinking from this fountian and seem to like it! A big plus is that a couple of my cats who tend to play in the water and splash it onto the floor don't do that with this fountain. I'm upgrading my original review from 3 stars to 5. It's a great fountain for cats!There are features about this fountain I really like: how quiet it is, that it has the option to run it off of battery so can be placed anywhere, the stainless steel removable bowl which is better for my cats than plastic and makes it easy to clean, the large capacity reservoir, the ability to see through the reservoir and easily know when it needs refilling, etc.However, all of that is useless if my cats refuse to drink from it, thus the 3 stars. I'm not sure why they won't, but it seems they may be spooked by the blue light on the fountain pump that flickers eerily through the water. I'll give it several more days and see if they warm up to it. If they do, I'll come back and change my review and rating.

I wasn't sure about trying this one. I've bought a different one in the past and it was junk but this one isn't! I definitely recommend this one! I wanted to get one to help with my older cat's urinary health and figured I'd give this one a try. I really love that this is motion activated. It doesn't run all.the time, it only turns on when it senses motion in front of it. This.helps with battery life, it lasts about a week. Plus it's easy to tell when it needs to be refilled. It's not noisy at all, it's very quiet. At the end of the day all 5 of my cats love it. It's lightweight for lifting and easy to clean and refill. 10 out of 10!

The product works fairly well. It's nice having battery operation. Noise level is low. Easy to clean.Con: NO option to buy replacement filters thru manufacturer. Have to buy compatible through someone else. I dont think that's the best thing personally and I almost returned it but changed my mind because my cat has had a lot of changes lately and didn't want to add this one on.

I've used a cat water fountain for the past 2 years. The one I had has been great but I ordered this one for two main reasons. 1) It is wireless. It has an automatic setting that senses when the pet approaches and comes on for 20 seconds, a timed setting which runs for 20 seconds every 15 minutes or an always on setting which is always running. It has to be plugged into an outlet in the always on setting. I love the automatic setting because it can function without being plugged in. I gave it a full charge before setting it up and have had it set up in the automatic mode for about 4 days and have not needed to charge it yet. It has an alert that lets you know when it needs to be charged although I haven't seen that function yet.The second thing I really like is that the bowl is see through so I can easily see how much water is left in the bowl.The only concern I have is whether the filters will be readily available. It comes with two filters and recommends changing the filters every two weeks.I cleaned up my old one and put it away but I didn't get rid of it because I wanted to make sure I was going to like this one better before getting rid of the old one. I think this one will be a keeper.
