Board is very small in size but Sound quality is good. You can run it by 12V 2 amp dc power supply, but for the better result go for 24v & min 2amp dc power supply, Sound quality will be more enhanced if you add a preamp with this board. Noise almost zero, no over heating issue, Overall product is great at this price point.

Instead of directly soldering the left and right channel together into the audio (+) input, i put two 1K resistor into the audio (+) input for both left and right channel. Use wires from AUX cable or earphone for better sound performance.

I've used this board for various projects and it's always been reliable. I've powered it with 24v but 12v is enough most of the time. If you're a little more tech-inclined there are a few sources on how to improve the board by swapping in better capacitors and chokes but I've never felt the need. The only modification I came up with is soldering a 4.7uF cap across the "mute" pins to serve as a "de-pop" technique to eliminate speaker pop when power is applied.

This board is basically a TI TPA3118 Class D audio chip configured for Parallel Bridge Tied Load (PBTL). For full details, read the TPA3118 spec sheet. I tested the unit on the bench with 4 ohm load monitoring both output leads with a scope set to ch1 - ch2 difference mode. The output power to the load before evidence of clipping follows the power input voltage. TI does not give us exactly the information that we want, but their graphs do show that the total distortion starts to skyrocket at 30 watts out with 12 volts DC power and a 2 ohm load. With 4 ohms, I got about 19 watts at 12 volts. There Is a graph with 160 watts on it with 25 volts DC power, 2 ohm load and 10% distortion. I wonder how long it would run before it's internal thermal shutdown kicked in? I would not push this module past 60 watts output. The TI Evaluation Module has the following specs:TPA3118D2EVMPower supply voltage 4.5 V to 26 VNumber of channels 2 bridge-tied load (BTL)Stereo Load impedance 3.2 Ω to 8 ΩOutput power BTL 30 W per channel
