This is my travel pot and I love it. Its fairly quiet, brews quickly, and keeps it at a perfect temperature.

This makes 12 of the best cups of morning coffee.I like that it sits on a base and has a push button start. It perks quickly and when the green light comes on you are good to go. You can remove the pot from the base and pour at the table.Price is moderate by comparison and it’s a good looking design.There is nothing like perked coffee. The aroma as it brews it part of its appeal.

Makes the best coffee! But the manufacturing created accidents to happen! Sharp edges in the lid caused multiple wounds during washing. I’m talking blood everywhere! And not just me - everyone who washed it! Unable to break the sharp edges as the design requires and allows the hazard! The peculator up-tube required rework as well after every use - it will not percolate twice if not scrubbed well - in the pot and the tube!But the coffee pot, BY FAR, makes the BEST coffee and we can set the pot on the table and pass it around! Love it! And we have the wounds to prove it! We’d buy it again and rework it too!

We need a refund and replacement for this coffee pot. The ON/OFF switch is not working so the pot does not come on ! Pot was working great and kept the coffee hot until the switch became defective. Please confirm you will send a replacement pot to the Wheaton Avenue, Fishkill address. I look forward to a positive response. Let me know if I need to return the defective pot. Thank you!

Using Homokus Electric Percolator for 3-wks. It operates nearly alike my many year-old version, which I finally ruined by forgetting to add water.• Like my previous coffee percolator, it will scald on the warming cycle; it just takes longer to scald … about an hour. After the perc cycle, I turn off the handy, lighted, red on button and unplug the unit. To re-warm for later re-fills, the microwave works just fine.• It takes about 10-min. for the basket to drain, longer if a paper filter us used. The paper filter retains the grounds and fine grit, which are said to be unhealthy. Of course, the coffee flavor is a bit less strong with the filter.• I believe the superior flavor originates with the brief perc time, and the marking on the inside of the ground’s basket. To match the 6-cup mark, three-eighth’s oz, of Folger’s is needed.• The cup markings are not equal to the standard of 5-0z. for a coffee cup. The 6-cup mark is matched with 25oz. of water, not 30-oz. as 6, 5-oz. coffee cups need. The liter equiv. marking for 6-cups agrees with 25-oz. This is not a 12-cup (60-oz) pot. It is just a little over 50-oz.I will rate the Homokus 4-stars. It is mis-labeled as a 12-cup unit when it is closer 10-cup. The excellent flavor is really what makes it a keeper.
