This is a very small unit compare to your standard inverter. It does heat up quiet a bit when you are drawing the max voltage. Make sure you are in a cool shaded area when using.

I knew what this was immediately, we had one that looked exactly like this for years. It finally gave out recently but I looked it up in my orders on Amazon and the specs and image are exactly the same except the cord is moved slightly in the photo, so I bet it's the same car converter just a different seller. My original was "Ordered on October 10, 2017", so we got over seven years of use out of it! And funny enough my son was just moaning a bit over the fact it was gone lol, the weather has been nice recently and that's when we use this gem the most.We used this when camping yes but we just used it, for laptops and iPads, for my daughter's Mobile Studio Pro, for plug-in coolers or a fan to move mosquitos away, whatever, we just got very use to having the ability to plug in something when we needed to. We did use them on road trips as well but also when we simply had to wait in the car somewhere. My son and I both have been known to just drive to the forest preserve down the road on a nice day, park our car or truck in their vehicle area, plug in our laptops, and focus in and get some work (or writing) done while enjoying the beautiful day. In fact, that's the first thing my son and I both used this for, it was so nice to have it back, it's almost like having a mobile office free of distractions. (I'll add that we have internet hotspots on our phones for our laptops, and my iPad has it's own internet, so that helps too.)This is a 110V AC, standard household voltage, so keep that in mind. It's suitable for smaller electronics but not high-powered devices like hair dryers or heaters, so don't go plugging in a curling iron :p. And make sure you have a strong vehicle battery. You can tell if you are working it hard, it will get a little warm, but it never got so warm it worried me. You can (and we did) plug multiple things into it at a time, I just used common sense and would check every now and then to see if the converter was getting warm.This thing is pretty small, it’s easy to store in a console or glove box. Once you get use to having it you'll wonder how you ever went without it! :D

I bought this inverter to use on a road trip on my way to Florida and it did not disappoint! It was easy to use, does not require assembly, lightweight, portable, works well and virtually has no sound. There were also usb ports on this product so I could still charge my phone and tablet while on the road. This item seems to be very durable and is made of solid metal. It also didn't break the bank and the cost was well worth the convenience
