I went through all the process of wiring these lights to my boat expensive solder, wire, marine connectors and after installing I found out the lights did not illuminate

I tested the blue light before install. After I installed the blue light and turned it on I noticed the end 4 feet was not working. I inspected it and noticed a clean cut in it that broke the connection to the rest of it.

well i suppose these are wonderful lights for a boat that powers off a battery because i bought these for use with my motorless boat and there is not any type of power source for these. It is basically the strip of lighting with two wires a red and white ....no hardware no instruction. that is virtually my own fault for not realizing it or considering that they most likely meant boat as in motor boat although in my own mind that seems silly because i would not need the lights if i had a power boat to hook things up to hahaha but my misconception. I woud attribute some fault to the manufacturers for not including instructions. I am a girl and although i am exceptionally smart i always need to have a reference to check with upon first installation and some folks especially those who have not ever worked with electrical stuff might benefit greatly to have some instruction here simply because the wrong move in that dept can cost you immensely. I also thought to myself that i could use them else where for another purpose but they give no alternative power source so i cannot plug them into anything. I will figure out a good use though because they are neat lights and waterproof but i will just have to do some homework on the matter maybe buy additional parts but i do recommend them just make sure you will be able to hook these up.
