The material is very lightweight, thin and smooth to the touch. It does seem a bit on the small side as it was quite snug but not tight as it stretches. I am planning to use this during the winter ski season. Not sure how warm when the wind is howling but under a helmet it might be fine. At a minimum it adds a lightweight layer or skin protection.

On the package, they are called "Cool touch cycling mask". It is quite thin and breathable, but I can't imaging wearing them for cycling, because I think I'll overheat. I bought them for snowboarding, but unfortunately the season has handed and I can't properly review them yet for that purpose.My initial take is that they are fitting too tightly, though they are very stretchy and flexible, so this may be OK. For most of the mask, the material is silky smooth as the description says, just around the nose and the mouth they used a rougher material that is a lot more breathable, but I find it less comfortable, especially due the tightness.They cover your face very well and probably give you great sun protection in conjunction with goggles or sunglasses. They have little cutouts for glasses. The quality seems great.

This cooling balaclava really seems to do what it claims to do, i.e. to keep your head cool in hot weather. It seems counterintuitive, mainly because it is black, which one would think would cause it to absorb heat. But as I wear it for, say, mowing the lawn, my head really does stay comfortable. It's easy to breathe through the mouth/nose piece of the mask, and your eyes are completely uncovered, so you can either leave them that way, or easily wear sunglasses or goggles with it. I may get some weird looks from the neighbors as I push my mower around the yard with this on my head, but I'd get weirder looks if I passed out from the heat!

Got these for cutting the grass in the hot Florida sun and it is perfect. I've been having some bad burns on my face and I've been worried about skin cancer, so I decided to get something that would cover my face without constantly having to put on sunscreen, and this was the perfect thing. Lightweight, super comfortable, and that the material itself feels strong. Exactly what I wanted.

They have a nice fit and the material is comfortable on the skin. The fact that they are perfect for what I needed, I see no reason not to give it five stars. Not to mention you get two of them for the only $12.99. That is a good deal.
