Works like the original. Had an automotive repair shop program it. All in it was half the price of the dealer.

This will be the same review as the Keyless 2Go blank key for a 2015 Chevy Silverado. Product arrived on time and worked like a charm. Chevrolet wanted approx. $50 for a blank key and $150 for the FOB. The key and the FOB came to less than $30. Except for the Chevrolet logo, both worked like original equipment. I had to get the key cut at the local Chevrolet place, and also the FOB programmed (by Chevrolet). Total bill from Chevrolet was about $79. That's a whole lot better than close to a $300 bill for genuine Chevrolet parts. Both parts came with contact information from the shipper/manufacturer. If the logo means that much to you, go to the dealer. Otherwise, buy this product.

Its solid with metal sides and it came in good condition until I took it apart to put in my old chip because it comes with a battery and chip already in it. I ended up scratching the metal side, denting the plastic on the back side and broke one of the corner pieces that holds the sides but it still held up when I put it back together and it works perfectly. Its a much better upgrade compared to the old plastic one.

I was told not to waste my time with these aftermarket key fobs by a local locksmith because they were cheaply made and unprogramable for my 2018 Silverado. I went ahead and took a chance on trying it out because I didn't want to spend the $350 dollars the dealership wanted for a replacement key fob. To my surprise it works flawlessly and feels like it's made from quality materials just like the factory key fob. For the newer model Chevys, you have to have them programmed. I shelled out $60 to have it programmed by the dealership but that's still a far cry from $350. The only difference is that there is no Chevrolet symbol on the back side which is no deal breaker for me. Power locks work great as well as remote start. Be looking to spend $50-$60 for programming. I recommend taking to dealership for programming because most of the locksmith people I spoke with either didn't have up to date software for programming this key fob or they couldn't guarantee me that it would work properly and they would not refund me the $$ for the programming. I am truly satisfied with this purchase and would definitely recommend this key fob.
