This amp makes a great practice amp. Easy to carry around. Loud enough to hear myself but doesn't disturb the rest of the household.

I ordered this amp because I needed something small that had presence without sacrificing character. If I wanted a soulless signal I'd just plug in powered headphones. I was a little hesitant due to the low price tag but I thought that if there was ever a time for cheap yet acceptably effective electronic products it is now. The technology is so basic and established that offering cheap yet effective devices is more a matter of availability than quality. That said, I ordered this fully expecting a functional little amp. I was not disappointed. The amp came charged right out of the box. I gave it a full charge right away using the charging cable that come with the unit. Once that was done it was time to plug in and start playing. I used a Gretsch T5420, a Fender Strat, and an Epiphone SG copy for the lower end representation. I started with the clean channel first. The sound was clear and did not distort with increased volume. The notes were clear and clean without any decay. While the higher end guitars sounded better the low end guitar wasn't much different than what you would expect. Not one of the guitars sounded bad. The amp handled them all pretty much equally. The only drawback here is that the gain function while using the clean function provides little overdrive even when the volume is cranked so if you play a lot of music using an overdriven signal you'll still have to rely on a pedal as this little amp does little to compensate. The next test involved implementing the gain function. Note that this distorts the signal and works in conjunction with the volume in order to maximize versatility. Playing music with this is a matter of balance. If you want to get the most out of this particular small amp you will need to utilize all the options. Using gain, tone, and volume you can dial in the sound you're looking for. I was surprised how many different variations, some slighter than others, that I could get out of the amp. You can get that overdriven sound right on up to "built-in" fuzz depending on how you use it. This was consistent whether or not I was using a higher end guitar or a cheaper model. Along with the guitar's controls I found that I could get a number of different sounds out of it from subtle overdrive to Sixtie's fuzz similar to the early Pete Townsend sound. Not bad for a tiny practice amp.The next test involved the Bluetooth function. This did not work at all. I tried in on both a laptop and a phone and while both devices recognized the unit it just would not pair. I called my nephew over for this and he said that it should be working but for whatever reason it did not. Short of that I could not test the function of the Bluetooth Auxiliary Volume. It simply would not pair with the devices. The headphone function worked with the same capacity of sound that was present with the speakers engaged. There was no ghost echo or anything like that. I did run the auxiliary line out into a laptop and that worked fine though the quality, while a little fuller, again was similar to the speaker sound. I do not plan to use that function as I have other means of running through the computer but it is good to have the option.Over a week and a half period I timed my use on various days playing nearly four and a half hours total with shutdown periods of two and three days between and the unit's battery held up without having to be charged so it's solid for at least four plus hours spread over days on a single charge. I usually charge it when I'm done playing so I haven't run it down yet but it is good to know that you can put it away and it will retain the charge without any decay in function making it quite useful for road trips where you otherwise couldn't play.I was satisfied with my order. Despite the Bluetooth problem I gave it the full five stars. This is a great little practice amp that will allow you to play when the circumstances would otherwise prohibit it. It's an invaluable tool if you have to write and or practice in unorthodox places. The sound remains personal without losing clarity. It is also one of the most affordable small amps that I've seen. I would recommend this to anyone who hates having to turn it off just because others are done. I've been using it for nearly two months now and I've had a quiet blast.

My first test after I unboxed was to connect my phone via Bluetooth and max out the volume. I’d expected it to overload so much it’d be distorted but instead it sounded good for what I’d guess is one or two 2.5” speakers - like many radio alarm clocks I had growing up sounded surprisingly good. I was able to sing along with the speaker without my voice drowning out the music.Connecting first my electric guitar then 12-string acoustic, it again put out impressive sound hit it’s size. A full sized (decent) amp will of course put this mini to shame, but for practice or even playing for friends this is a good and portable solution. It’s small enough you most likely can transport it in your guitar bag/case. It fits in several of mine.

OK, I know it's only 5 watts and it's small, really small, with tiny speakers. But, it's also rechargable, lightweight and I'll be darn if it doesn't sound fairly decent.I was surprised at the size of the box when it came in. I guess I hadn't really taken the time to lay out the dimensions on a ruler.... so it was small.I plugged it into a USB cord and waited for it to charge.First off, I paired my phone to it and took a listen. It's not high fi stereo sound, but it wasn't bad. It was good enough to play along to a song you're trying to learn. So, I grabbed my guitar and plugged it it. It worked! lol... and it wasn't bad at all. Then I started messing with the controls. Tone is accomplished by just one knob. Basically it goes from a more bass sound to a more treble sound but again, not bad.The bluetooth has it's own volume knob and that's really convenient so you can adjust for the volume of your guitar. I play an acoustic most of the time but I did use the over drive and gain, not bad.I've started using this when I walk past my guitar and just want to pick up for a second. Volume wise it's not loud but again, not bad. The tone works but to my ear it's more of a slight suggestion than any kind of real tone modification.I just have a hard time not liking this little amp. It's convenient as heck and a great practice amp for a solo musician. It last a reasonable amount of time on a charge and the sound is good enough that it won't cause you to cringe.Honestly, I'm kind of looking forward to playing my guitar through it when I get home. You just can't beat this as a practice amp at home and the price is pretty good for what you're getting. Have fun and jam on!

This little amp is pretty fun. Its lightweight enough that you could attach it to a belt (though there is no belt attachment). My guitar got it only got barely loud enough that you couldn't hear the actual guitar strings when cranked and gained all the way up. It was able to push a pretty clean signal significantly louder when I ran it with a clean boost pedal. It would probably work pretty well with active pickups.
