If you don't know what a single-pole double-throw momentary switch is, you don't need this. It's not for normal household lights.OTOH If you need an SPDT momentary switch, you know who you are. You've got something like a motorized projector screen or drapes or something that you want to control precisely. I've also used this AC-rated version for low-voltage DC loads as well when the LV version was priced higher or unavailable. It has never complained about being under-utilized. I have replaced GE RR7 relay system switches with these to update the look of the house. Again, it's over-qualified, but never gripes.Looks great with other Decora switches. Leviton branding is visible but discreet.

I bought a Shelly Dimmer 2 and I needed a momentary switch to go with it. My existing light switch that used to dim my dining room lights can't be used with home automation stuff. This switch is exactly what I needed. Obvious and easy to install (given the wiring diagrams you can find online). Simple, reliable, does what it says on the tin.

Expensive, but works great. I use this as a garage door button.
