This thing is C R A P - tried and tried to just get it connected to my (YES - 2.4 wifi network) never could get past the first screen. Sending it back.

These are great when you’ve got a room with several IR devices in it (TV, DCD player, air conditioner). It can bring all of them under app or even Alexa control. But be warned - if your device isn’t part of the built-in library of IR codes and you have to “learn” them from the actual remote, those functions can’t be accessed from Alexa. They can be controlled from the app, but not by voice control. I have been asking why for ages, but have never got any answer. Just be aware this is a limitation.

This thing is AMAZING. It is tiny and discreet, and easily hides on or behind furniture without attracting attention to it. And it works as expected!I have a Honeywell fan that we use to circulate air in a room with cathedral-style ceilings (gets very hot in the summer), but we're always forgetting where the remote went. With this product, I hid the IR Blaster on a shelf in line-of-sight of the fan, and programmed it using the app on my phone. It did not have the exact Honeywell codes for my fan in their library of known devices, but no problem- that's what the DIY learning mode is for! I dug up the original remote and pressed the buttons while aimed at the device in learning mode, and it was able to accurately repeat them towards the fan upon command after that.The app does not have a schedule option, but it does connect with Alexa as a skill and that's exactly what I wanted since we use Alex routines for home automation. I set some on/off schedules and now we just let it run itself as needed, and manually override it with an Alexa voice command or the app on my phone when needed. So far, it has worked EXACTLY as expected and I couldn't be happier with it! Awesome!

Was purchased to make up for the fact we have lost our tv remote... and the play station remote and.... well you get the idea. It works quite well and is easy to set up.The user interface is a bit generic and not as customizable as I would have liked. Other than that it does what it advertises and solved the problem.
