I recommend sealing with silicone . My first one only lasted a year in the Salt water. My second one I sealed lasted 5 years.

These are very poorly built. The tails on the wires inside were left super long, so the pos and neg touch and immediately short. It smokes badly as soon as you connect the power, which is the rubber wire insulation melting inside. Had to rewire it. The terminals are loosely riveted, so they spin freely, resulting in a poor connection. Had to rebuild them too. The numbers on the wheel are very lightly stamped and aren't legible, so its pure trial and error to setup the angle and range. The grease inside is very poor quality, seal around the box is inadequate, and the screws are soft Phillips head garbage. Took 8 hours to install 2 of these, was tearing my hair out. Would give zero stars if possible. They're working for now, but will look for better motors when these die.

I installed two of these on my 1987 Sea Ray. They weren't OEM, but they mounted with very little modification. My only complaint is how the electrical harness hooks up: it uses 3/16" spade (blade quick disconnect) terminals instead of ring terminals. (Most all other wiper motors use the ring terminals and #4 or #6 terminal boards). I still give it 5 stars because you can change the park position from right to left and modify the sweep angle to 80 or 65 degrees. It is pushing a 16" blade on a 14" arm without bogging down (even dry).
