Muy bien protegido en la caja y llegó a tiempo, trae todo lo necesario para instalarlo, lo recomiendo. Solo que en mi caso no me sirvió la plantilla ya que tuve que ajustar la posición en el casco al instalarlo para que quedara mejor

Definitely an effective safety device to help save your young ballplayer’s face. As a youth baseball coach, I’m all for advances in safety for young athletes. Take your time with this one and install it correctly. I had to drill out the chin strap snap on my son’s helmet and install the screw holder. Be aware, you will need to peel back the glued padding. Use a hair dryer to heat it up and make it sticky so you can peel it without ripping the padding. These are becoming a trendy helmet accessory for all players youth to MLB but that’s definitely not a bad thing.

We are not taking a chance with safety THIS TIME! Here's a cautionary tale from our family. We WISHED we had one of these C-Flaps for safety last year when our 8 year old son played up on our 10 year old's team last fall for a game. They were short a player, so our son volunteered so his brother's team wouldn't have an automatic out. He was in Coach Pitch league for 8 and under kids, and had never been up to bat in the 10 and under Kid Pitch league before. He's a great hitter, but balls can be thrown wild at that level. Sure enough, first pitch, first at bat, and he got a ball right to the mouth.I was so worried his jaw or teeth were broken! Our older son fell off a kitchen cabinet at 9 years old and broke the bone holding his front PERMANENT teeth in (emergency dentist and new braces saved his teeth and he healed!) ... so of course, I was frantic with worry. We were so very lucky, he was OK. Sore, but teeth were intact, and no broken jaw. To his credit, he was a trooper and held back the tears that wanted to pour, and took his base. He told me he didn't want to cry in front of everyone watching. I vowed to order him this safety protection for the season and I haven't regretted it one bit! After that game, we stopped at a local sporting goods store to buy our 10 year old a C-Flap protection piece. It is a lot smaller than this Markwort brand protection piece though, so I thought this one would be a better choice for our younger son since he just started his first practice last night for spring. It was EASY to install on the helmet! Our younger son has now moved up to Kid Pitch. Thankfully, he played out that game last fall. He was up to bat a second time in the same game, it was tournament play ball, so we NEEDED HIM, and he got a hit and ran to base safely! I'm relieved he had the courage to get back up to the plate, and get a hard hit to earn a base, WITHOUT being hit this time! Everyone on his brother's team was cheering him on, and gave him high fives in the dugout. They won that game and it was a really big deal for him to get a trophy too!It could have gone the other way. If he had given up, and never went back for another try, he could have become fearful. I see some kids jump out of the way and back out of the box at the plate. They're scared of the ball and it's so hard to overcome that fear and ATTACK the ball. It messes up their swing!I vowed not to make the mistake again of putting him at the plate again without proper safety gear! Both boys love to play and they both have mouth protection guards now. While they're two different brands, they have a similar concept, protecting the side of the face for jaw and mouth protection. (I tried to get them to wear the mouth guards I bought too, but they are stubborn creatures! Boys!)I highly recommend this brand from Markwort. It seems very durable! My husband is the assistant coach and recommending that all the parents buy these for the boys.

I attached the C-flap to a Rawlings Vapor Low Profile (VLP) model helmet. I needed to use a 11/64" drill bit to drill out the chin strap snap rivet, which was no problem. I ended up using one of the existing face mask threads and one of the included T threads in the (now empty) chin strap snap rivet hole to attach the C-flap. The third hole was a challenge on this helmet because there was no way to place it (even if I did not re-use the snap rivet hole) that was on the same level as the other two, or that would not cause too much downward angle for the C-flap. It seems sturdy enough with just the two screws, if not ideal. The double sided tape to re-attach the foam padding was challenging to get the second backing removed (the final tape is transparent and stretchy) but worked fine once liberated. I hope there will be a standard way to attach the C-Flap in the near future - I will buy that helmet!!
