I am worried about the state of the world with the coronavirus. So I started prepping. I bought three of these and they all arrived fresh and in perfect condition. They are heavy, they UPS driver asked if we bought rocks lol. These are great if you are in need to survival. Thank you!

Great product. It has a sweet cookie apple flavor. Very thick and filling. Great product to have around in case of emergencies.

I purchased these food bars primarily because of the 100% Vitamin C, D, and other daily values in the servings according to the product description. When they arrived, I inspected the nutritional values and found that they were, in fact, 4% for virtuallyall but a few major vitamins (20% for Calcium and Iron). It seems as though the seller is confusing these for a different Mayday product. Gave seller two business days and a whole weekend to respond to my message, but no response as of yet. Returning immediately.

I ordered Mayday Emergency 2400 food rations, 24 count (1 case). The item arrived in 2 days as expected for the Amazon Prime shipping, and the outside Amazon box was pristine. The inner case (box shown in picture behind the 3 food bars above) was ripped/ damaged along the side, and had been taped up in a clumsy way. Unfortunately, this may have contributed to the breaking of the mylar-type vacuum seal packaging surrounding some of the individual food blocks/bars. 7 of the 24 bars had oxygen around the food, in that the mylar was not tightly adhering to the food (all air sucked out), like the other non-damaged blocks, but loose. on some of the "loose packs" you could clearly see a very small cut in the mylar-type film, as if a sharp piece of a corner of a nearby bar had poked through. i believe this is more of a manufacturers problem than with the [...] distributor, even if the outer box had been mishandled. just that some rough handling could cause 7 of 24 vacuum seals to break on these bars is cause for concern if you actually plan on having these as emergency rations for the 5 year advertised expiration term. i feel that oxygen in the pack could cause the 5 year storage capacity to decrease, with the food degrading faster. Amazon refunded me a partial amount for the damaged packs. however, since i bought these in bulk for the discounted rate, i'm going to need to buy another bulk pack (i may try Mainstay now- plus they are a different/lemon flavor) to get the same amount of product i planned for, in order to get the better price....so it is a bit irritating. also, who knows how easily the other packs could burst when i place the bars in my emergency packs? not great. i guess i'll need to check every so often, and wrap them carefully or something.not wanting to waste the opportunity in this review, or the oxygenated food itself, i tried some of the bar in one of the loose packs. there is a faint marking showing where one could cut the bar into 6 pieces, but you need a knife, as it really just looks like one big block. the knife crumbles the bar up somewhat, so you should cut this somewhere you can collect the crumbs when in that emergency situation where every calorie can count. anyway, the stuff is really yummy, like another reviewer said. tastes like very dense pie crust with a hint of apple cinnamon- it could actually be smashed-together pie crust with vitamins, from the flavor and the ingredients! --flour, shortening, sugar? pie crust to me. :). it absolutely did not make me thirsty. however, and unfortunately, it made me more hungry!!!! i wanted to eat more of it. like an appetizer. i will have no problem eating this (starving or otherwise), and i think i can tell my kids it's a cookie, no problem. i just don't know about the weak packaging. THAT part, is indeed problematic.
