This grandma bought me Tandom Bike to ride with my nine-year-old granddaughter who is in love with penguins. The bell is very clear sounding and sharp. The decoration is cute and she definitely loves it.

I recently bought an adult tricycle and needed a bell so I could use it in pedestrian areas. I wanted something a little cute or unique, and this fit the bill nicely!!The penguin is really rather darling and makes me feel like a child again riding my tricycle!! The bell works well and is easily loud enough to be heard by pedestrians. The sound is the traditional "jing, jing!" so it shouldn't startle them. It seems durable.I'm very happy with it - it adds character and is inexpensive.

My five year old is just starting to learn how to ride her bike and learned about bike safety and when to use a bell at her pre-school recently and asked if she could have one. As a lover of all things pink and especially unicorns, this fit the bill perfectly.The bell seems to be well made, the colors are vivid, and of course it matches her pink bike. When she rings it properly (still working on keeping her fingers off of the metal part), it is very loud, which is a good thing. It was very easy to attach securely to the handle bars of her bike with a screw driver and about 3 minutes of effort.

I ordered this bell for my city bike; a man's warning voice sometimes startles pedestrians, but a pleasant bicycle bell startles nobody. This bell has good tone and adequate volume. The base and clapper lever are plastic, the bottom bracket is painted metal, and the bell dome is anodized aluminum with an inset graphic sticker. The bell attaches to handlebars using two screws through the bottom bracket; I added two #10 lock washers to prevent gradual loosening. The clapper lever has a short throw, good both for small hands and for adults. The inside mechanism has both metal and plastic pieces, and deserves an occasional light oiling (e.g., WD-40) to ensure continued smooth operation.
