For over 30 years I've worn the uniform of a gondolier - rowing boats in several US cities and even once or twice in Italy. While the gondoliers in Venice usually don't wear scarves and sashes for anything but the most formal occasion cruises, us American gondoliers do like to dress it up a bit more.In winter some of us switch out the red accents for black ones, so I ordered this because the scarf I have is just barely big enough. Turns out this one is huge.In fact it's so big that I've doubled it and it's just right.The fabric is a light and airy satin, so it actually works quite well doubled.I like it a lot.We will see how well it wears over time.

This is half the price of some silk neckerchiefs I was looking at this past week. However, the others were silk, and this one is polyester. The fabric is thin, but the length is adequate. Considering I am using this for cosplay, it works well, and passes the test. I wish it were a bit larger, and less thin, but all in all, I would still recommend.

Got this for a ren faire cosplay - the material is super thin, like nearly transparent kind of thin....but the size is large enough you can fold it over itself and make it more opaque. It ties well, it's a very shiny cloth with a silk-like feel to it. It was the perfect find for the cowboy cosplay it'll be used for.
