I misjudged the material because in the images in the listing, it appeared to me to have more of a sturdy structure. I thought that the sides of the purse were much more rigid. This is more like a quilted soft sided bag. The bottom is stable and there is an awesome padded insert in the bottom of the bag. I tried to show the depth of the cushioning in the pad. It's really nice. There is a way to attach a restraining strap to your dog's collar so they can't jump out and run away. As you can see, my little fur baby knew exactly what to do when she got in it. She laid down and stuck her head out the notched opening on the side, made just for that. This is going to be her new favorite way of going places with me.

The opening is entirely to large. Doesn’t close at all and my pomerian easily jumps out everytime I’ve tried to use this. I don’t recommend it.
