Very elegant, nice detail piece. Probably not suitable for exterior installation. The handles can be removed from either side with a small flat head screwdriver. Cannot be locked with the key. Comes with three keys, and that's very nice. Latch mechanism seems a little cheaper, thin materials, and no direct shaft positive engagement. But it does work as it should.

This doorknob is absolutely beautiful! The crystal design is really stunning and I love the gold metal detail. It was super easy to install following the directions that were included. It only took me about twenty minutes since they were written very clearly. The quality is very good and the handle is heavy and not flimsy. For the price it is a great deal and definitely worth the money.

UPDATE 1/27/2025Last night I was toting some groceries from the car into the house and grabbed the doorknob a little more vigorously than usual, but not so roughly that I would be worried in the slightest for the typical doorknob, and I am pretty sure the the three tongues disconnected. There are thousands of mistakes that led to worthwhile achievements, so I do not mind companies releasing flawed products to innovate, but this doorknob latch design lacks the quality to last long enough to be a doorknob, and the performance to justify replacing a regular doorknob design with this one. The aesthetics are still top notch, I love the look of it, but steer clear of this in its current form.I have removed/installed quite a few regular house doorknobs now, so I know just enough to recognize good design and quality construction. The doorknob I removed, for instance, to install this one, is an old Kwikset doorknob, it has a shank of metal that goes through the latching mechanism, and skewers the interior knob, it is a secure, easy to assemble door knob. This one, while sturdy enough, is not on the same level, a degree of which, I expected. But the way the quality took a turn was assembly and adjustment. Instead of a through latch mechanism, this latching mechanism is almost completely independent of the doorknobs, there is an opening where 3 thin metal fingers that comprise the tumbler of the locking mechanism are grabbed and engaged when you turn the doorknob. On buying this, I don't think I really understood what that weird independent latch thing meant for me as the customer, but I can tell you it means an easy job anyone who can turn a screw could do became a head scratching ordeal. But the worst of it is that other more time tested solid designs (the through latch shank designs) are easy to take apart for fine tuning so your door knob looks just so. Not this one, it is an odd lesson in lockpicking and frustration to adjust the fit of your doorknobs once installed. Also the strikeplate was not as high quality as the knobs, so I kept the already matching brass/gold colored plate I had there in place.Other than that major gripe, the crystal is beautiful, and easier to grip than I thought it would be, the included keys work, I have had no problems with the function of it once installed. Overall, a very nice set in terms of aesthetics, but honestly, even if it meant a price increase, I would pay to have a less frustrating installation/adjustment process.
