The product was used and has previous buyers coffee stain in it. And all of the items were not in the package. Highly disappointed

I have a Breville Bambino Plus espresso maker. The OEM portafilter basket has a double wall and a single tiny hole that the espresso comes out before it goes to the spouts. This single opening was plugging on me from time to time, which required a needle to try to fix. So, I tried this ‘naked portafilter’ design, which does not have the double wall or spouts. I guess eventually I won’t look under the machine to watch it, but for now it’s fun to watch every cup being made. I was impressed by this new portafilter build quality and heft, and it even comes with a little mesh screen to put on top of your espresso before extraction. I grind beans before each cup, and I have found that I need to put it on the very lowest setting, almost powder. Until I get a distribution tool, a toothpick is working fine, and I tamp the espresso very firmly. Adjusting the grind finer is really important because otherwise the extraction is too fast and you don’t get a nice crema. There is an added benefit I didn’t realize— the spent coffee puck comes out much easier and cleanly without the vacuum from the double wall. I no longer need to rinse my Porter filter between cups, so it stays hot.There is only one minor design note, and that is that the portafilter twists onto the machine all the way to the stop without as much force as the original takes. I thought at first that it would be too loose, but I have not had a leaking problem. The relevant distances are only different by about a 10th of a millimeter, so that’s an extremely tight tolerance and something I can live with. I’m just going to quit using the original Portafilter so the gasket on the machine has a chance to relax a bit, or I might replace that gasket.I suspect that if you buy espresso grind coffee, it might be too coarse. In that case, I suggest grinding beans yourself, or just put the store-bought coffee in a spice grinder and pulverize it a bit more. Having more to adjust is part of the fun of it in my opinion.I’m very happy with this new Portafilter, which is well-made comes with two nice handles, is quite heavy, and feels good to use. It’s also quite inexpensive compared to most of the others I was looking at. Good luck!

This bottomless porta filter is very well made and it comes with all you need to prepare a great coffee.If compared to a traditional portafilter, the bottomless one allows to prepare a coffee with a taste that will remind you the one of the traditional moka: lighter but with the unique flavour of the moka.But be aware that the breville machine will really struggle to pour the coffee at the standard pressure it usually reaches with the standard portafilter. You will have to opt for a finer ground and different coffee, to be able to keep a higher pressure.Otherwise, with the same setup of the standard one, this portafilter will allow to pour coffee at a very low pressure, providing a completely different aroma to your coffee.I love this option as it reminds me to the taste of the moka coffee. But be aware of that, in case you will look at this product as an alternative to the original one.All that said,, the quality and the materials are really good for the price and the dimensions are perfectly compatible with the original breville product.A good product.
