Lots of pressure. Being used as a wash down pump in my boat. Dont know how it will stand up to the salt water

I use my boat primarily for salt water use so no pumps last as long as I feel they should. After a couple of months this pump is working well and doesn't show any immediate signs of rust or corrosion so, good so far. Time will tell but this pump appears that it will last as long as the name brand pumps I have used in the past at a fraction of the price. I am happy with the purchase and it is working well for my needs.

The product was easy to put together and install. Everything worked fine on the first use. But, later that day, when I started it again, the nozzle started leaking near the quick connect. After many attempts to tighten the connection and eliminate the leak, I gave up and made my own repairs. Now, it works very well. I love the power of this pump and have attached it to my tow behind sprayer - replacing a 2.2 gpm Northstar pump. But for the leak, I would rate this product five stars.

Let me start by saying I only buy name brand pumps, oversized, heavy wire and fuses because I take my little 18' boat way too offshore for a pump to crap out on me. I was looking at the Jabsco but my friend recommended this pump so I gave it a chance. The motor running the pump is no joke, solid, well sealed gaskets and wires with about 10ga with inline fuse. The pump housing is not that cheap plastic that cracks after 1 year but more like the teflon style that is very durable. This alone is worth the $$$. The hose and nozzle are what you'd expect, should last a few years if kept out of the sun. The pump housing fittings are brass but I'd highly recommend upgrading the hose fittings with some schedule 80 PVC. I left the filter off, we usually fish in clean water. All around a great product from a company I'd never heard of, well worth the $$$. Careful, the pump is no joke and draws some serious amps. I'd hardwire it and move the fuse up under the dash. Good luck!

After reading some of the reviews I decided to purchase this for my off grid setup simply because of the price. Some reviews state that the pump that arrives is not what was is advertised. That was not the case for me, I got the advertised pump. setup was super easy. I tested the device by connecting to my car battery and shooting some water into the open air and it worked like a dream. the pump primed itself and shot a steady stream of water out. The product just works. For my test I got 2.5g in a minute but i did connect a hose that was pretty small. I will attach the proper hoses and update my review if the pump develops a leak or breaks down, but for now it works great.
